Big thanks from everyone at Definite Vision to Northside Graphics for organising the second annual Northside Cup on Friday 3rd September.

A great afternoon of five-a-side football was had by all at team Definite Vision though there were some aching muscles on Friday night. That said the ice cold Coors provided by the organisers did the job in easing any muscle tension and Northern Ireland’s victory over Slovenia raised spirits further.

Well done to the team put forward by Northside for winning the tournament after fierce competition from Pierce Communication in the final.

Team Definite Vision are now in intensive training for next year with a regiment of stress, coffee and general overindulgence.

Solv Local Faces Campaign Gets Underway This September

Today Solv Team launch their latest outdoor advertising campaign created and implemented by Definite Vision.

As we head out of the summer Solv are promoting their range of services for the home heating market. Based in East Belfast but providing province wide coverage The Solv Group hit the headlines in April with an impromptu campaign created by Definite Vision playing on the media coverage of the DUP’s ‘stock photography’ debacle.

The ‘Solv Get My Vote Everytime’ campaign achieved widespread coverage in the media and Managing Director, Stephen Kane hopes that the company’s latest ‘Local Faces’ campaign will again get the public’s vote and increase Solv’s profile as a province wide provider of quality home heating servicing.

“We have local engineers providing services to client right across the province and we want the public to know that we have friendly local engineers in all areas leading our service teams. At Solv we have the strength of a large network of quality approved boiler engineers and we know people want personal service from local engineers who know their area and their needs.”

The campaign will roll out this week in Enniskillen and Coleraine where our Solv engineers Eddie Harris and Chris O’Connor, who feature on our range of billboards, hail from.

This Month We’re Definitely Taking The Michael

This August we’d all like to welcome a new member to the creative team at Definite Vision.

Michael Tracey has just joined us as Design Intern fresh from completing his studies at Blackpool University.

Michael, who takes up the role of Graphic Design Intern, is a Belfast resident who recently graduated and fought off stiff competition to land a internship in the creative department at Definite Vision.

“At Definite Vision we strive to keep the ideas and creative coming out of the studio current and fresh, new blood brings new ideas and a different perspective to our many client led projects.” says Chris Campbell, Managing Director of Definite Vision.

“We knew as soon as we spoke to Michael that he would fit right in and bring a great dynamic to the team and we’re expecting big things as he finds his feet.”

Michael will be working under the watchful eye of Liam Mulherin, Senior Designer and Damien Green, Creative Director who’ll be honing his skills and assisting in his development at Definite Vision.

Holywood Gets Frisky With The Return Of The Bear

This Summer Holywood’s getting frisky with the launch of North Down’s freshest new bar, The Frisky Bear.

Located on Holywood High Street The Frisky Bear offers an eclectic mix of styles providing a chic and bijou atmosphere for patrons.

Definite Vision have been delighted to play a part in creating an unusual and interesting identity for the bar through a range of design, marketing and advertising services.

The Frisky Bear is a young, stylish and overall interesting place to visit, the team at Definite Vision have aimed to build on the quirky charm of the place.

The reaction to the identity and personality of brand has been very positive and the bars’s facebook page, designed and implemented by Definite Vision, is heading toward 1,000 fans in the first few weeks of opening.

Social media marketing has played a large part in the development of The Frisky Bear brand and the launch of several new events including the bar’s upcoming comedy night due to be launched on Tuesday 31st August by Youtube comedy sensation Colin Geddis aka Barry ‘The Blender’ Henderson, star of the cult phenomenon ‘I am Fighter‘.

And The Winner Is… Stillpoint!

After weeks of nail biting tension we can now proudly announce our ‘Unsigned, Get Defined’ Winner 2010…

…well done to Stillpoint, who fought of valliant competition at Spring & Airbrake last Friday night from JJ Mulherin & One Shot The King.

An excellent night was had by all at we’d just lake to thank all the bands for their efforts, but unfortunately there can only be one winner!

Stillpoint are made up of David McKendry, Lead, Michael O’Dornan, Bass, Frances Campbell, Drums & Jack Courtney, Guitar. The band wowed the judges and audiences on final night with a stunning cover of the Johnny Cash Classic, Folsom Prison Blues in round one.

Their own song Valentina in Round 2 left the audience hungry for more and encouraged the crowd to raise the roof when it came to voting in the final face off against One Shot The King.

JJ Mulherin, who missed out on round two but blew away the crowd with his encore covering The Killer’s Mr Brightside at the end of round 1 and there was no doubt in anybody’s mind that the talent on show was top class!

Stillpoint will now be spending some time with Definite Vision and at Dawsons Music in Bangor preparing for the launch of their E.P. in mid October, complete with Definite Vision designed band branding and exclusive album artwork.
